Reclamation/Remediation Specialists – Weyburn, Saskatchewan and Calgary, Alberta View More

Summit Liability Solutions Inc. requires 2 full-time Reclamation/Remediation Specialists. We require one specialist to join our Weyburn team and a second for our Calgary team.

The successful applicant will possess the following:

  • A university degree or college diploma (science based); possessing a professional designation is an asset but not required
  • Minimum 5 years Reclamation/Remediation experience
  • Strong knowledge with provincially specific reclamation and remediation guidelines
  • Working knowledge of Phase I, Phase II & Phase III Environmental Site Assessments, Spill Clean-Up, Detailed Site Assessments, and the Reclamation Certification process

The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years experience managing various remediation projects including Site Assessment, Remedial Feasibility Study, Remedial System and Process Engineering Design, Construction Management, Phase I Assessment, Technical Report Writing, Financial Management, and Scheduling. Additional consideration will be given to experience in groundwater and Environmental Impact Assessment.

Requirements:

  • B.Sc. in environmental, chemical, or civil engineering
  • A minimum 5 years experience in remediation projects
  • Registered P.Eng in Western Canada
  • Technical background in groundwater remediation and hazardous waste type projects.

Summit Liability Solutions Inc requires an office support person knowledgeable in the reclamation and remediation guidelines for Alberta as well as the EUB's Guide 50 for drilling waste disposal. The successful applicant will possess strong computer skills and a university degree or college diploma in a science based field. Previous experience working in either a reclamation or drilling waste capacity will be considered in lieu of the educational background. Field experience would be an asset.
